Food Substitute

Getting more roughage in your diet can be as easy as making one of these simple swaps:
Substitute your white English muffin for the whole-wheat version.
Substitute your cornflakes for bran breakfast cereal or oatmeal.
Substitute your white rice for whole-wheat couscous.
Substitute your juice for fresh fruit.
Not ready to trade in your favorite cereal? I totally understand. For me, I start small by adding popcorn or carrot and celery sticks to my afternoon snack. Or my personal favorite—adding a half cup of Fiber One cereal to my yogurt—will give my 60 small calories and more than half of my daily fiber. See? Little changes can add up to a big difference!
