What Seafood Recipe You Like?

I love cooking and its one of my favorite chores if I’m not working besides cleaning the house. I love to try new recipes because eating same dish every day is tiresome. I like to get recipes from my friends, relatives and most of all in Internet.
Recently the Great American Seafood cook off had just launched and I've found this site which offers a lot of interesting and new recipes by a well known chef. Besides, we can also vote for our favorite recipe which used domestic, sustainable seafood. By voting and entering the contest, we might get a chance to win a trip to New Orleans. The prize package includes two Southwest Airline roundtrip tickets, hotel accommodations, dining experiences and many more! Isn't that great?
Among the five recipes listed, I voted for the Gulf Shrimp recipe by Chef Mark Holley from Texas. I love shrimp a lot that’s why I voted his recipe. Apart from that, I also love the ingredients that used to cook the dish such as bacon, eggs, black pepper, black beans and cheese. If I were to try out this new recipe myself, I think I would like to add a little bit of chili powder, just to spice up a little bit since I like spicy food.

Can I Borrow?

When I was in my high school days, I was staying in a boarding house because our house was far in the school. I was fourth year high school that time and our final examination was coming. Before the exam, our teacher in history used to check our notebook notes. It was included to get our final grade in history. I have no problem on that because I take note every time our teacher’s discussion. One of my classmates wants to borrow my notebook. Take note he is the one have crush on me too. Whew! I told him to get it tonight after the class because that time I left the notebook in my boardinghouse. That night, my land lady told me that there’s somebody looking at me outside. When I get out in my room I already bring the notebook he wants to borrow because I know he’s the one looking at me. I’m not wrong he’s there setting at the couch. I hand him the notebook and I thought he will go then but he still setting and asking for a few things regarding on the exam. So, I sat beside him and discuss all the pointers that might be come out on the exam. After that, he asks if I have boyfriend, what I like and dislike. It’s started like that. I realize he’s courting on me. After he comes twice, trice, many times in my boarding house to court finally he got his Victory Hair!

The Look to Get Their Attention

Some people told me that I have strict face. There was a time that somebody told I am a snobbish person but my friend told them that I am not. I am friendly once I get to know the person. Maybe they hesitate to smile at me because they are afraid that I will not smile them back. The truth is, I am just afraid to take the first move. I am a shy kind of person. I didn’t talk if you didn’t talk first. That’s what I am. I just remembered on my high school days, lots of guys have a crush on me but no one of them has the courage to approach on me. They are afraid. They think I’m strict. Whew! Good for them because they are not my type. They didn’t flirt well that can catch my good heart.

There are many ways on how to flirt and of course it really depends on how the person sees it as well. I never imagined that I impressed of someone’s flirting and that’s my loving husband. Coconut Shrimp

I like seafood. But most of all, shrimp is the best. That’s why I loved making coconut shrimp. Thought coconut shrimp was one of those dishes you find only in restaurants? Think again! It's easy to make at home, and it'll earn raves from the whole family.
You just need the following: 2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined, Shake and Bake coating mix, original chicken flavor, or your favorite bread crumbs, 2 tbsp ground ginger, 1/8 tsp nutmeg, 3/4 cup flaked coconut, Dash white pepper (optional), 1 cup milk, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tbsp grated fresh ginger, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 egg white, beaten until foamy.
To make is easy. Preheat oven to 350°F. To make the coconut crumb mix, combine Shake and Bake (or your own crumbs), powdered ginger, nutmeg, flaked coconut and white pepper (if using). Mix well and set aside. In a separate bowl, combine milk, honey, fresh ginger, brown sugar, and egg white. Beat together thoroughly. Dip shrimp in milk mixture and roll in coconut crumb mix. Bake in oven approximately 10 to 20 minutes depending on size of shrimp.

My husband really loves it. You can try it also.

Food Substitute

Getting more roughage in your diet can be as easy as making one of these simple swaps:
